Ang programang Horticulture Internship ay idinisenyo para sa mga mag-aaral na interesadong matuto nang higit pa tungkol sa hortikultura, pamamahala sa pampublikong hardin, pagpapanatili ng landscape, o arkitektura ng landscape. Ang mga Intern sa Hortikultura ay umiikot sa mga takdang-aralin ng proyekto sa pormal na hardin, greenhouse, mga koleksyon ng halaman at mga taniman, na nagtatrabaho sa ilalim ng direktang pangangasiwa ng isang staff na Horticulturist. Sa pamamagitan ng mga sesyon ng pagsasanay at mga takdang-aralin sa trabaho, ang mga intern ay ipakikilala sa mga pamamaraan ng hortikultura para sa pormal na paghahardin, pagpapalaganap ng greenhouse, at produksyon ng pagkain.

The goal for Horticulture Interns is to leave the program with new skills and an introduction to the various aspects of the field of horticulture. Upon completing the program, interns will have gained experience in:  planting and soil preparation; pruning and hedging using landscape design specifications;  pest control and weed management; fertilization; annual bedding maintenance; fruit harvesting, cut flower and edible production, water management; turf care; plant collections management and GIS mapping systems; greenhouse practices, workplace and equipment safety; plant identification; and creating excellent visitor experiences by communication with the public about plants and horticultural displays.
